Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers towards DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. As well as her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
